CODE 35 LINE PRESSURE DUTY SOLENOIDCode Chart 35:
Transaxle Valve Body Circuit:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
The ECU pulses the line pressure solenoid to control line pressure in the transaxle. This pulsing of the solenoid is to ensure smooth running and shifting of the hydraulic circuit in the automatic transaxle. The line pressure solenoid is controlled according to the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) input and engine load.
TEST DESCRIPTION: Numbers below refer to the circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.
1. With key "ON," there should be 2-3 volts on BRN wire.
2. Voltage on BRN wire should drop as throttle is opened.
3. Resistance of solenoid should be 20 to 30 ohms.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS:
A faulty connection or an open or short in the BRN wire can result in a Code 35. An intermittent may be caused by a poor connection, rubbed through wire insulation or a wire broken inside the insulation.
