Removal and Installation

All engines except Boss(R) 302

1. If equipped, remove the 4 nuts and the strut tower cross brace.





2. NOTE: The engine appearance cover rubber grommets may remain on the cover. If so, remove the grommets from the cover and install them on the intake manifold before installing the cover.
Remove the engine appearance cover.






All engines

3. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe.

4. Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.

5. Remove the 4 bolts and the Throttle Body (TB)
- Discard the gasket.


Installation

All engines

1. Using a new gasket, position the TB (Throttle Body) and install the 4 bolts loosely.

2. While holding the TB (Throttle Body) in the most upward position tighten the 4 bolts in 2 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 45 degrees.


3. Connect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.

4. Install the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe.

All engines except Boss(R) 302

5. NOTE: The engine appearance cover rubber grommets may remain on the cover. If so, remove the grommets from the cover and install them on the intake manifold before installing the cover.
Install the engine appearance cover.






6. Install the strut tower cross brace and the 4 nuts.
- Tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).
