Removal
1. Remove the center console trim cover.
1 Lift the arm rest.
2 Apply the parking brake.
3 Lift the center console trim cover straight up, remove the emergency brake lever from the boot and remove the trim cover.
2. NOTE: Selector lever assembly removed for clarity.
Disconnect the transmission control (TC) switch electrical connector.
3. Using a suitable tool, slide the selector lever knob shroud down.
4. Remove the selector lever knob screws, selector lever knob and the shroud.
5. Rotate the transmission range indicator light bulb socket counterclockwise and remove the transmission range indicator light bulb from the selector lever bezel.
6. Release the 3 tabs and remove the selector lever bezel.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Be sure that the override lever is inserted in the override lever guide or the brake shift interlock override button will not work correctly.
NOTE: Selector lever assembly removed for clarity.
Install the selector lever bezel on the selector lever.
^ Position the override lever in the override lever guide.
^ Make sure that the 3 locking tabs are locked in place.
2. Install the transmission range indicator light bulb in the selector lever bezel and rotate the transmission range indicator light bulb clockwise to lock it in place.
3. Route the wiring harness through the selector lever bezel and position the selector lever knob and shroud onto the selector lever.
4. Install the 2 selector lever knob screws.
^ Tighten to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
5. Slide the selector lever knob shroud up.
6. NOTE: Selector lever assembly removed for clarity.
Connect the TC switch electrical connector.
7. Install the center console trim cover.
