PINPOINT TEST AE: DTC U0101 - LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ECM/PCMNormal Operation
The instrument cluster (IC) sets DTC U0101 if the data messages received from the PCM over the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN) are missing for greater than 5 seconds. For a complete list of all network messages, refer to Information Bus (Module Communications Network).
NOTE: Once the instrument cluster (IC) sets DTC U0101, multiple gauges or indicators are likely to be inoperative in the cluster. Other modules that require data from the instrument cluster (IC) all set communication DTCs and may also exhibit system function concerns.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- PCM
- Instrument cluster (IC)
