Seat Backrest Hinges - Rear:

Removal and Installation

All backrests
1. Release and fold the backrest downward.
2. Release the hook-and-loop at the lower rear outboard corner.
3. Remove the 2 backrest-to-hinge bolts.
- To install, tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).

4. Slide and remove the backrest from the backrest pivot bracket.

Hinge removal, 2 door
5. Remove the quarter trim panel.
6. Remove the 2 backrest hinge-to-floor bolts and backrest hinge.
- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

Hinge removal, 4 door
7. Remove the rear seat backrest bolster.
8. Remove the 2 backrest hinge-to-floor bolts and backrest hinge.
- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

Pivot bracket removal
9. With the 60 percent backrest removed, remove the 2 bolts and backrest pivot bracket.
- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

All backrests
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants after installation.
