Normal Operation
When the brake pedal is applied, voltage is routed to the high mounted stoplamp through circuit 15S-LG6 (GN/YE) and the generic electronic module (GEM) through circuit 15S-AA72 (GN/YE). The GEM provides voltage to the LH and RH rear lamps through circuits 49S-LG12 (BU) and 49S-LG19 (BU/RD), respectively.

Possible Causes
- Circuit 15S-AA72 (GN/YE) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-LG6 (GN/YE) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-LG14B (GN/RD) short to voltage
- Circuit 49S-LG12 (BU) open
- Circuit 49S-LG19 (BU/RD) open
- Stoplamp switch
- Brake shift interlock actuator
- Speed control actuator
- GEM
- Powertrain control module (PCM)
