PINPOINT TEST A: THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Normal Operation
The seat belt tone request is transmitted over the controller area network (CAN) to the cluster from the restraint control module (RCM). The safety belt switches are hard-wired to the RCM. When the RCM detects a safety belt switch that is not buckled, the instrument cluster sends a tone request to the generic electronic module (GEM) which sounds the chime.
