Manual Horizontal Adjustment
The manual adjustment is attained by lifting on the release handle at the front outboard side of the seat and adjusting forward or rearward to the desired position.
Manual Recline
The manual recline adjustment is attained by lifting the release lever mounted on the outboard side of the seat cushion side shield and adjusting to the desired position.
Vertical Adjustment
Manual vertical adjustment is attained by turning the crank handle knob, mounted under the front inboard side of the driver seat cushion to the desired position.
Heated Seats
CAUTION: Remove the paper strips covering the adhesive before adhering the heated seat element to the foam pad. Otherwise damage to the seat can occur.
This system allows the electrical heating of the front seats on occupant demand. The heated seat system on this vehicle does not have a heated seat module. The heated seat system will only operate with the ignition switch in the RUN position.
The components of the system are:
- the heated seat elements located in the seat cushion and backrest.
- the heated seat switches, located on the center console.
- a bi-metallic thermostat that is part of the cushion heated seat element.
NOTE: A new heated seat element can be attached to a foam pad where an old heated seat element was removed. A used heated seat element should not be reattached to any foam pad.
The cushion or backrest heated seat element can be peeled off of a foam pad and a new one adhered in its place. A heated seat element cannot be reused, as the adhesive will no longer hold the position on the foam pad causing shifting or bunching of the element.
Rear Seats
The rear seats are of the split 60/40 design, with the 60 percent rear seat backrest incorporating the safety belt retractor on 3-door, 5-door and wagon vehicles. All rear seats fold flat to form a load floor.
