HEADLINER







Removal and Installation

All vehicles
1. Remove the A-pillar trim panels.
2. If equipped, the disconnect the washer tube and the headliner wiring harness.
3. Remove the C-pillar trim panels.
4. Remove the 6 sun visor screws, 2 sun visor clips and the 2 sunvisors.
5. If equipped, remove the overhead console.
6. If equipped, remove the front dome lamp and bezel.
7. Open the covers on the passenger assist handles.







8. NOTE: Use a suitable 6 mm (0.23 in) flat-bladed screwdriver.

Rotate the screwdriver 90 degrees to release the retaining clips and remove the 4 passenger assist handles.

9. Remove the 2 rear pin-type retainers.

Vehicles with roof opening panel
10. Remove the roof opening panel weatherstrip.

4-door, 5-door and wagon
11. Remove the 2 headliner trim panels.
12. Remove the rear interior lamp and disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

Wagon
13. Remove the 2 D-pillar trim panels.

14. CAUTION: Remove the trim panel at a 45 degree angle to avoid damaging the trim panel clips.

Remove the 2 headliner trim panels.

3-door, 5-door and wagon
15. Disconnect the rear washer tube from the headliner.
16. Remove the headliner through the liftgate opening.

4-door

17. NOTE: Recline the passenger seat backrest to allow removal of the headliner.

Remove the headliner through the passenger door opening.

18. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
