Normal Operation
The air bag warning chime is hardwired from the restraint control module (RCM) to the instrument cluster through circuit 8-JA13 (WH/BK). When the air bag warning indicator is inoperative, the RCM provides a ground on the air bag chime circuit and the instrument cluster provides an audible chime.

Possible Causes
- circuit 8-JA13 (WH/BK) open, short to voltage, or short to ground
- RCM
- instrument cluster
