Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud

Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
3. Disconnect the 2 cooling fan motor and shroud electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the coolant control valve jumper harness electrical connector.
5. Remove the bolt and the receiver/drier and bracket and position aside.
^ To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).
6. Disconnect the coolant control valve electrical connector.
7. Remove the bolt and the coolant control valve and position it aside.
^ To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
8. Remove the 2 bolts and the auxiliary coolant pump.
^ To install, tighten to 9 Nm (79 ft. lbs.).
9. Remove the 2 bolts and the cooling fan motor and shroud.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
