Removal and Installation
1. Remove the fender splash shields.
2. Remove the front bumper cover.
3. Remove the 3 bolts and the front bumper cover bracket.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

4. Remove the front fender bolt to the radiator grille opening panel.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

5. CAUTION: If the incorrect bolt is installed in this location, damage to the door may occur.

Through the fender opening, remove the fender bolt.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

6. Remove the 14 pin-type retainers and the rocker moulding.
7. Remove the 2 lower fender bolts.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

8. NOTE: Support the hood using a suitable prop rod.

Release the lower hood assist strut.







9. Remove the fender.
1 Remove the hood assist strut ball stud.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).

2 Remove the fender-to-the radiator grille opening panel bolt.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

3 Remove the 3 fender bolts.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
