LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID LOCK CYLINDERRemoval and Installation
NOTE:
- When a new lock cylinder is installed, the door lock cylinder and ignition lock cylinder should be installed as a set. This eliminates carrying an extra key which fits only one lock. If a new key is to used, the new key code number is stamped on a metal tag attached to the key.
- Individual lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the new lock cylinder to the current key code of the vehicle.
1. Remove the LH quarter trim panel.
2. Remove the lock cylinder trim cover.
3. Remove the retaining clip.
4. Position the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder rearward.
5. Release the release cable locking tabs and disconnect the luggage compartment manual release cable.
6. Remove the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
