Removal and Installation
1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
3. Remove the 2 thermostat housing bolts and the thermostat.
^ Discard the thermostat O-ring seal.
^ To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install a new thermostat O-ring seal and lubricate with clean engine coolant.
5. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
