Selector Lever Cable and Bracket

Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.





2. Remove the cable shift from the shifter lever.





3. Remove the shift cable from the bracket and discard the clip.





4. Lift the lock upward to unlock the adjustment lock on the manual lever.





5. Remove the 2 transmission shift cable bracket bolts from the transmission and remove the bracket.

Installation





1. Install the shift cable eyelet on the transmission selector lever.





2. Install the shift cable bracket and install the 2 bolts.
^ Tighten to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).






3. NOTE: It is necessary to install a new plastic clip prior to installation.

Install the shift cable in the shift cable bracket.





4. Install the shift cable on the manual lever and lock the shift cable adjustment lock.
5. Verify the shift cable is adjusted correctly.
