Normal Operation
The instrument cluster monitors the multifunction switch position through hardwired circuitry and the odometer rolling count status from the powertrain control module (PCM) over the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network. When the multifunction switch is in the RH or LH turn signal position, and the vehicle has driven 0.8 kilometers (0.5 miles) the instrument cluster will provide an audible chime at a rate of 60 chimes per minute.
