Oil Pump

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.





3. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil.





4. Remove the oil filter.





5. Remove the bolts and the oil pump.





6. Remove the following:
1 The oil pump drive gear.
2 The oil pump driven gear.
3 The oil pump O-ring seal. Discard the O-ring seal.
4 The oil pump cover.
7. Clean and inspect the components. Install new components if necessary.





8. Inspect the face of the oil pump for flatness.
9. Remove the engine front cover.

10. NOTE: Lubricate parts with clean engine oil before assembly.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
