Power Door Lock Relay: Testing and Inspection

RELAY - POWER DOOR LOCK







1. Remove and disconnect the power door lock relay.












2. Measure resistance between the power door lock relay, terminal 5, and the following power door lock relay terminals:







3. Measure resistance between the power door lock relay, terminal 6, and the following power door lock relay terminals:







4. If the power door lock switch fails any of the above tests, install a new one. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.







5. Apply 12 volts to the power door lock relay terminal 5.

Measure the voltage between the following power door lock relay terminals, and ground, while grounding the terminals:

6. If the power door lock switch fails any of the above tests, install a new one.
