Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the instrument panel insulator.

NOTE: Disconnect the footwell lamp electrical connector.







2. Remove the speed control deactivator switch.
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Rotate and remove the speed control deactivator switch.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Initial installation of a speed control deactivator switch allows for one adjustment. If additional adjustments are necessary, install a new switch.

1. With the engine running, fully depress and hold the brake pedal.







2. Install the speed control deactivator switch.
1 Position the speed control deactivator switch in the bracket and rotate clockwise.
2 Connect the electrical connector.

3. Slowly release the brake pedal.
