Seats Not Removed
There are two reactivation procedures.^ One procedure requires removal of the front seats. This procedure will be used when diagnosing or repairing a seat side air bag concern. This procedure will also be used when diagnosing or repairing any in-seat or seat-mounted components of a seat equipped with a seat side air bag. The seat must be removed when performing repairs on a seat equipped with a seat side air bag.
^ The other procedure does not require front seat removal during the diagnostic and repair process. This procedure will be used when diagnosing or repairing a concern that is not related to a seat equipped with a seat side air bag.
