Convertible Top Latch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Both sides







1. Position the package tray aside.
^ Remove the package tray fasteners from the top and the quarter window trim panel.







2. Remove the quarter window trim panel.

RH side







3. Disconnect the removable top latch electrical connector.
^ Unclip the electrical connector from the removable top.

Both sides







4. Remove the bolts and the removable top latch.

INSTALLATION

Both sides







1. Install the removable top latch.
^ Position the bolts but do not tighten at this time.
2. Adjust the removable top so that the latches engage.







3. Tighten the removable top latch bolts.

RH Only







4. Connect the electrical connector and position the clip to the removable top.

Both sides







5. Install the quarter window trim panel.







6. Install the headliner and package tray fasteners to the top and to the quarter window trim panel.
