Crossmember - Radiator Support
CROSSMEMBER - RADIATOR SUPPORTRemoval and Installation
CAUTION: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect the performance of vital components and systems and their failure can result in major repair expense. A new part with the same part number must be installed if installation is necessary. Do not use a new part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of these parts.
NOTE: New cam bolts and lock nuts must be installed whenever they are removed from the lower control arm.
1. Support the radiator.
2. Remove the both stabilizer links.
3. Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies.
4. Remove the front valance panel.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the pin-type retainer.
5. Remove the lower radiator air deflector.
1 Remove the bolt.
2 Remove the pin-type retainer.
6. Remove the 10 bolts and the front cross brace.
7. Remove the bolts and position the steering gear aside.
- Discard the lock nuts.
8. NOTE: New cam bolts and lock nuts must be installed whenever they are removed from the lower control arm.
Remove the four bolts and position the two lower control arms aside.
- Discard the bolts and lock nuts.
9. NOTE: The art shows the radiator support crossmember removed for clarity of the bolt removal.
Remove the water control valve bracket bolts.
10. Remove the power steering and A/C line bracket bolts.
11. Remove the four bolts and radiator support crossmember.
12. Transfer the necessary components.
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
