Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
NOTE: Observe the "Health and Safety Rules".
2. Drain the air conditioning system.
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Detach the drive belt cover.
5. Loosen the drive belt.
NOTE: Loosen the drive belt only and detach it from the compressor pulley.
6. Disconnect the refrigerant line from the compressor.
- Detach the line connection.
NOTE: Immediately close off the lines and the compressor connection using plugs.
7. Remove the air conditioning compressor.
1. Remove four bolts (three shown).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
INSTALLATION
1. Refit the components in reverse order.
NOTE: Renew the O-rings and smear them with refrigerant oil.
2. Evacuate and refill the air conditioning system.
3. Check the operation of the air conditioning system.
