Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1 Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the side impact bolster.
3. Remove the door speaker (if equipped).
4. Disconnect the speaker electrical connector.
5. Detach the door latch release handle.
6. Detach the watershield.
^ Using a plastic knife (disposable cutlery), cut through the Butyl strip to enable the water- shield to be peeled back.
CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.
7. Connect the window operating switch electrical connector.
8. Align the regulator clamp with the access hole.
9. Detach the window glass from the regulator clamp.
1. Push out the pin.
2. Push out the sleeve.
3. Remove the window glass from the regulator clamp.
10. Using suitable hooks, raise and secure the window glass.
CAUTION: Make sure the window glass is adequately supported at the top of the opening.
11. Disconnect the window operating switch electrical connector.
12. Disconnect the motor electrical connector.
13. Remove the motor and window regulator.
^ Remove the screws.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the motor and window regulator.
^ Install the screws.
2. Connect the motor electrical connector.
3. Connect the window operating switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the hooks.
CAUTION: Make sure the window glass is adequately supported at the top of the opening.
5. Align the regulator clamp with the access hole.
6. Attach the window glass to the regulator clamp.
1. Push in the sleeve.
2. Push in the pin.
3. Push the window glass firmly down to engage the pin into the regulator clamp.
7. Disconnect the window operating switch electrical connector.
8. Attach the watershield.
9. Attach the door latch release handle.
10. Connect the speaker electrical connector.
11. Install the door speaker.
12. Install the side impact bolster.
13. Install the door trim panel.
