Overview of mechanical linkage

The MTX 75 manual transaxle is installed with a shift mechanism cable. The shift cable is white and the selector cable is black.
In order to remove the cables from their abutment brackets on the transaxle and at the gear lever, twist the two halves of each abutment bracket counter-clockwise against each other.
As the shift and selector cables have a common bush where they pass through the floor, they can only be renewed as a pair.
The cables are adjusted using Special Tool 308-437.
