Headliner: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Vehicles with manual roof opening panel







1. Remove the roof opening panel handle.

All Vehicles







2. Detach the interior lamp.







3. Remove the interior lamp.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

4. Remove the overhead console.

All vehicles
5. Remove the A-pillar trim panels.
6. Remove the B-pillar trim panels.
7. Remove the C-pillar trim panels.







8. Remove both sun visors.







9. Remove both sun visor clips.
1. Open the cover.
2. Remove the sun visor clip.

Vehicles with manual roof opening panel







10. Remove the roof opening panel weatherstrip.

4 door 5 door and wagon vehicles







11. Remove the headliner side trim panels.

All Vehicles







12. Remove the three passenger assist handles.
1. Open the covers on the assist handles.
2. Remove the assist handle.

Wagon vehicles







13. Remove the D-pillar trim panels.







14. Remove the loadspace upper trim panels.

CAUTION: Remove the trim panel at a 45 degree angle to avoid damaging the trim panel clips.

All vehicles







15. Detach the rear interior lamp (if equipped).







16. Remove the rear interior lamp (if equipped).
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.







17. Remove the headliner retaining clips.

3-door and wagon
18. Remove the headliner through the liftgate opening

4-door
19. Recline the front seat backrest to allow removal of the headliner through the passenger door opening.







20. Remove the headliner.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
