Torque Specifications

Cylinder Head





CAUTION: Do not retighten the cylinder head bolts.

Tighten the cylinder head bolts in three stages in the sequence indicated.
^ Stage 1: 20 Nm
^ Stage 2: 40 Nm
^ Stage 3: 90 degrees.

Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts





NOTE: Screw in the camshaft bearing cap bolts evenly, in the sequence shown, a half turn at a time and tighten them in two stages.

Tighten the bolts of the camshaft bearing caps.
^ Stage 1: 10 Nm
^ Stage 2: 19 Nm

Camshaft Timing Pulley Bolt





CAUTION: Do not tighten against Special Tool 303-465.

NOTE: Use the special tool to hold the timing pulleys.

Tighten the bolts on the timing pulleys to 68 Nm.

Intake Manifold





Install the intake manifold (graphic shows engine removed).

NOTE: Stud tightening torque = 10 Nm.

1 Screw in the intake manifold studs.
2 Tighten the five bolts and two nuts.


Exhaust Manifold
Tighten to 16 Nm.
