Reverse Idler Gear

Disassembly





1. Remove the bolts.





2. Remove the reverse idler shift bracket, the spring washer, the reverse idler gear, the reverse idler gear bearing, and the reverse idler shaft.

Assembly





1. Apply petroleum jelly to the groove in the reverse idler shift bracket. Install the spring washer in the groove.





2. Align the flats and install the reverse idler shaft.
3. Install the reverse idler bearing and gear.





4. Install the reverse idler gear assembly.
1. Position the reverse idler gear assembly.
2. Hand-tighten the bolts.
3. Tighten the bolts to specification.
