EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.







2. Detach the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) tube.







3. Disconnect the EGR vacuum tube.







4. Remove the EGR valve.







5. Remove and discard the EGR valve gasket.

INSTALLATION

















1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
^ To aid installation loosen the EGR tube bolts at the exhaust manifold.
^ Install a new EGR valve gasket.
