EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

NOTE: The 4.6L, 4V is shown. The 3.8L and 4.6L, 2V are similar.







1. Disconnect the vacuum hose.







2. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) tube from the EGR valve.







3. Remove two bolts, the EGR valve and gasket.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: The 4.6L, 4V is shown. The 3.8L and 4.6L, 2V are similar.












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Install a new gasket.
