Right

Removal
1. Remove the timing chains.
2. Remove the H-pipes.
3. Remove the intake manifold.
4. Remove the exhaust manifold.





5. Remove the bolts.





6. NOTE: Support the bolts with a rubber band as shown.

Remove the cylinder head.





7. Remove the cylinder head gasket and discard.
- Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.


Installation





1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Tighten the bolts in sequence and six stages shown.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90°.
- Stage 3: Loosen the bolts a minimum of one full turn.
- Stage 4: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
- Stage 5: Tighten an additional 90°.
- Stage 6: Tighten an additional 90°.
