Shift Rail and Fork

Disassembly





1. Rotate the gearshifter fork and slide it off the main shift rail.





2. Remove the gearshift selector arm plate.





3. Remove the shifter fork inserts.





4. Remove the gear selector interlock sleeve.





5. Remove the selector body.
^ Remove the split pin.
^ Remove the selector body.

Assembly





1. CAUTION: Support the shift rail to prevent damage to the parts.

Install the selector body.
^ Position the selector body on the shift rail with split pin hole toward the long end of the shift rail.
6 Align the split pin hole with the middle hole in the shift rail.
^ Install the split pin.





2. Position the double cut collar on top. Install the gear selector interlock sleeve.





3. Install the gearshift inserts.





4. Note: The 1-2 gearshift fork is the larger of the two single gearshift forks.

With the locating tab facing you, insert the gearshift selector arm plate from the right, into the 1-2 gearshifter fork.





5. With the ridge toward the left, install the gearshift selector arm plate from the left into the 3-4 gearshift fork.





6. Install the 1-2 gearshift fork from the long side of the gearshift rail. Align the gear selector interlock sleeve with the gearshift selector arm plate.





7. Note: With the gearshift forks facing downward, the 1-2 gearshift selector arm plate must be below the 3-4 gearshift selector arm plate.

Install the 3-4 gearshift fork from the short end of the shifter rail. Align the 3-4 gearshift selector plate with the gear selector interlock sleeve.
