Reverse Idler Gear

Disassembly





1. Remove the bolts.





2. Remove the reverse idler gear support plate, the wave spring, the reverse idler gear, the needle bearing, and the reverse idler gear shaft.

Assembly





1. Apply petroleum jelly to the groove in the reverse idler support plate. Install the wave spring into the groove.





2. Align the flats and install the reverse idler gear shaft.
3. Install the reverse idler bearing and gear.





4. Install the reverse idler gear assembly.
^ Position the reverse idler gear assembly.
^ Hand-tighten the bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts.
