Special Tools:

Disassembly

1. Using the special tools, remove the input shaft bearing outer race and the shim.
2. Using the special tools, remove the oil seal.

3. Using the special tools, remove the countershaft bearing cup and the shim.

4. Using the special tools, remove the release bearing tube.

5. Using the special tools, remove the output shaft rear support bearing cup.

6. Using the special tools, remove the rear support bearing cup.

7. Using the special tools, remove the countershaft middle bearing cup.

8. Using the special tools, remove the bearing cup.

Assembly

1. Using the special tools, install the output shaft rear support bearing.

2. Using the special tools, install the countershaft middle support bearing cup.

3. Install the release bearing guide tube cup.
^ Liberally apply Threadlock and Sealer EOAZ-19554-AA meeting Ford specification WSK-M2G351-A5 (Type II) or equivalent to the outer diameter of the release tube bearing cup.
^ Using the special tools, install the bearing cup.

4. Using the special tools, install the throw-out bearing guide tube.

5. Using the special tools, install the oil seal.

6. Using the special tools, install the countershaft front bearing shim and bearing cup.

7. Using the special tools, install the shim and the front bearing outer race.
