Replacement-Muffler Assembly

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the muffler assemblies one at a time as follows:

^ Remove and discard the retainers from the front mounting flange.

^ Disengage the three (3) exhaust hanger insulators, then remove the muffler assembly from the vehicle.

CAUTION:
DO not use oil or grease based lubricants on the insulators as the cause the rubber to deteriorate.

NOTE:
A soap and water solution will ease installation of the exhaust hanger insulators.

3. Install the muffler assemblies one at a time as follows:

^ Position the muffler assembly under the vehicle, then engage the three (3) exhaust hanger insulators.

^ Install the new retainers to the front mounting flange. Tighten the retainers to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

4. Lower the vehicle.

5. Start the engine and check for coolant and exhaust system leaks.
