Installation

Special Tools:

1. Position the engine on the subframe.
2. Install the clutch.





3. Install the transmission to the engine.





4. Connect the transmission wiring.





5. Install the two nuts.
6. Remove the engine lifting equipment.





7. Remove the special tool.





8. Remove the special tool.
9. Install the powertrain assembly in the vehicle.





10. Install the four bolts.





11. Install the four bolts.





12. Install the four bolts.





13. Remove the powertrain lift and extension bar.





14. Install the inspection plate.





15. Position the sway bar and tighten the nuts.





16. Install the splash shields.





17. Install a new bolt in the steering shaft.





18. Install the high pressure power steering line into the pump.





19. Position the clip and install the bolt.





20. Connect the hose to the power steering reservoir.





21. Connect the power steering line to the power steering cooler.





22. Connect the high pressure power steering line.
23. Connect the clutch cable to the transmission.





24. Install the lower hose.





25. Connect the hose to the oil filter adapter.





26. Install the ground cable.





27. Connect the oil pressure sender.





28. Position the harness and install the three nuts.
29. Install the starter.





30. Position the A/C muffler and tighten the nuts.
31. Connect the A/C inlet and outlet lines.
32. Install the three way catalytic converter.
33. Install the brake calipers.





34. Connect the two front wheel speed sensors.
35. Install the front wheel and tire assemblies.
36. Lower the vehicle.
37. Install the shifter.





38. Connect the hose to the bypass tube.





39. Connect the low coolant sensor.





40. Connect the cables.





41. Connect the connectors.





42. Position the wiring support bracket and install the nuts.





43. Connect the heater inlet and outlet hose.





44. Connect the vacuum lines.





45. Connect the fuel charging wiring.





46. Connect the 16-pin and the 42-pin connectors.





47. Connect the evaporative emissions return line.





48. Position the cables, install the bolts.





49. Connect the throttle cable the speed control actuator cable and the throttle return spring.





50. Install the upper radiator hose.
51. Connect the fuel line.
52. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
53. Connect the battery negative cable.
54. Fill the engine cooling system.
55. Charge the A/C system.
