IDLE - ROUGH - AFTER COLD ENGINE START-UP (12 HOUR SOAK) - VEHICLES BUILT THROUGH 7/15/1998

ISSUE
A rough idle approximately 20 seconds after a cold engine start-up may occur on some vehicles. This condition will usually occur after a 12 hour soak, with ambient temperatures above 10° C (50 ° F). This may be due to a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calibration
ACTION
Perform normal diagnostics in accordance with the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Service Manual, then reprogram the PCM with the latest level calibration using World Diagnostic System (WDS) or New Generation Star (NGS) Tester Refer to the following PCM Reprogramming Information Chart to identify the appropriate calibration.
