Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the power windows/heated back window defroster to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Front door window regulator damaged.
- Front door glass run front retainer damaged.
- Front door window glass out of front door glass run front retainer.
- Front door window glass broken.

Electrical
- Circuits open/shorted.
- Loose, corroded connectors.
- Damaged window regulator control switch.
- Damaged window regulator electric drive
- Circuit Breaker 14 (20A), Fuse 1 (15A).
- Power distribution box HTD BL (40A) maxi fuse.

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concerns that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concerns remain after the inspection, determine the condition(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
