REMOVAL

NOTE: If rear suspension arm and bushing requires replacement, also replace the other rear suspension arm and bushing.

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist and support body at rear crossmember.
2. Lower the hoist until the rear shock absorbers are fully extended.
3. Place a transmission jack under the lower arm-to-axle pivot bolt. Remove and discard the bolt and nut. Lower the transmission jack slowly until the rear spring can be removed.

NOTE: The rear axle housing must be supported by the hoist, a transmission jack or jackstands.

4. Remove and discard the lower arm-to-frame pivot bolt and nut. Remove the rear suspension lower arm assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the rear suspension lower arm into the front arm bracket. Insert a new arm-to-frame pivot bolt and nut with nut facing outward. Do not tighten at this time.
2. Install rear spring. Holding the rear spring in position, use the transmission jack under the rear of the rear suspension lower arm. Raise the jack until the rear suspension lower arm is in position. Insert a new arm-to-axle pivot bolt and nut with nut facing outward. Do not tighten at this time.
3. Lower the transmission jack. Raise the rear axle housing with the hoist to curb height. Tighten the rear suspension lower arm-to-frame bolt to 98-132 Nm (73-97 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove crossmember supports and lower vehicle.
