8.8-Inch Ring Gear

REMOVAL

Special Tool:

1. WARNING: DO NOT ALLOW AXLE SHAFT FLANGE TO CONTACT PRESS BED DURING REAR BRAKE ANTI-LOCK SENSOR INDICATOR REMOVAL.

CAUTION: After removing a rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator, replace with a new rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator.

Remove axle shaft. Place axle shaft in press as shown and remove rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator. Discard rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator.

INSTALLATION





1. Position Sensing Ring Replacer 206-041(T89P-20202-A) on press with pilot ring up.





2. Place new rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator on Sensing Ring Replacer 206-041 (T89P-20202-A) as shown. Make sure rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator is positioned as shown.





3. Position axle shaft as shown.





4. Position a flat piece of steel on axle shaft as shown.

5. Press rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator onto axle shaft to the dimension shown.
6. Install axle shaft.
