Front Seat Retractor and Tongue
Special Service Tools DesiredSeat Belt Bolt Bit (#50 Torx) T77L-2100-A
REMOVAL
1. Remove safety belt anchor-to-sill bolt and rubber washer.
2. Slip finger behind D-ring cover and push bottom of cover toward center of vehicle to dislodge. Lift up to remove cover and remove retaining bolt.
3. Remove rear seat lower cushion and rear seat back cushions.
4. Remove the upper and lower quarter trim panelService and Repairs and unthread safety belt from slot in quarter trim panel.
5. Remove retractor retaining bolt and remove front safety belt retractor and tongue assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the retractor to the sheet metal.
2. Install the retractor retaining bolt. Tighten to 30-40 N.m (22-30 lb-ft).
3. Put the safety belt through the slot in the quarter trim panel.
4. Install the upper and lower quarter trim panel.
5. Put one-half twist in the safety belt webbing (clockwise on RH belt and counterclockwise on LH belt.
6. Install the safety belt anchor-to-sill retaining bolt and washer. Tighten to 30-40 N.m (22-30 lb-ft).
7. Cycle the system several times to ensure proper operation of retractor. Ensure belt is not twisted.
8. Install rear seat back cushions and rear seat cushion.
