Fuel Tank Mounting Straps: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Place support under fuel tank.

NOTE: Either fuel tank support strap may be removed without removing fuel tank if a support is provided under the fuel tank and the opposite strap is in place.

2. Remove retaining bolt.
3. Push the strap to be removed into the body bracket until the pin aligns with large hole in body bracket.
4. Push the pin through the large hole in the bracket.
5. Remove strap.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten retaining bolts to 30-40 Nm (22-29 lb-ft).
