General System Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the climate control system to duplicate the concern.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Loose missing or damaged A/C compressor drive belt.
^ Loose or disconnected A/C clutch.
^ Loose, incorrectly routed or damaged vacuum lines.
^ Misadjusted A/C temperature cable.
^ Broken or leaking refrigerant lines.
^ Broken or leaking vacuum control motor.

Electrical
^ Open fuses.
^ Fan motor inoperative.
^ Disconnected electrical connectors.

3. If inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. General System Diagnosis
