Climate Control Assembly

Temperature Control Cable Removal Tool 412-088 (T94P-18532-A)







REMOVAL
1. Remove center instrument panel register.
2. Remove four screws retaining heater control to instrument panel.
3. Roll heater control out of opening in console.







4. Disconnect A/C temperature cable from the back of the heater control using Temperature Control Cable Removal Tool 412-088 (T94P-18532-A) to release side locking tube and a small flat blade screwdriver to release the top locking tab. Pull A/C temperature cable away from the heater control.
5. Remove two nuts and disconnect vacuum hose harness connector and electrical connector from back of function selector switch.
6. Disconnect electrical connector from back of heater blower motor switch.
7. Disconnect connector for heater control illumination bulbs.
8. Remove heater control.

INSTALLATION







1. Position A/C temperature cable to the midpoint of its adjustment, directly between H and C. Position the temperature control knob to the midpoint of its adjustment and connect A/C temperature cable to the geared arm on blower motor wheel. Rotate temperature control knob from maximum cool to maximum warm to verify proper range of rotation.
2. Install electrical connector at the following locations: heater blower motor switch, air conditioner control assembly illumination bulbs and function selector switch.
3. Install vacuum hose harness connector and two nuts to function selector switch.
4. Place heater control into position against instrument panel. Install four retaining screws. Tighten to 2.1-2.9 N.m (19-25 Lb-In).
5. Install center instrument panel register.
