The front disc brakes consists of the following:- The brakes use pin slider-type disc brake caliper assemblies with a front disc brake rotor.
- The disc brake caliper has a single steel caliper piston with a piston seal and a press-in type dust boot.
- The disc brake caliper is attached to the front wheel spindle with two 12 mm attaching bolts.
- The disc brake caliper slides on lubricated disc brake caliper locating pins that are sealed from the elements by rubber boots.
- The disc brake caliper locating pins are attached to the caliper housing by two pinch bolts.
- Vehicles are equipped with galvanized steel front disc brake rotor shields that are attached to the front wheel spindle with three pop-rivets per side that are not interchangeable side-to-side.
- The brake linings are fully interchangeable and slide into the caliper anchor bracket assembly.
- The brake linings use a single purpose clip which holds the linings against the anchor bracket to prevent rattles.
