Instrument Panel - Finish Panel

Radio Removal Tool:





Special Service Tool(s) Required


REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.







2. Install Radio Removing Tool 415-001 (T87P-19061-A) into radio face plate or digital audio compact disc player face plate. Push tools in approximately 25.4 mm (1 inch) to release retaining clips.

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force when installing Radio Removing Tool. This will damage retaining clips, making radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player removal difficult.

3. Apply a slight spreading force on tools and pull radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player from instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the connectors and remove the radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player.







5. Remove console finish panel by carefully prying up from retaining clips. Disconnect electrical connectors.







6. Remove two screws retaining bottom of instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel and one screw retaining rear of instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel.
7. Pull instrument panel finish panel to release two clips left and right of A/C control and two clips on top of instrument panel finish panel.

INSTALLATION
1. Engage four clips and install instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel with three retaining screws.
2. Install console finish panel.
3. Connect wiring connectors to radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player.
4. Slide radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player into instrument panel making sure that rear bracket is engaged on support rail.
5. Push radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player inward until retaining clips are fully engaged.
6. Connect battery ground cable.
