Retrieving Parameter Identification Codes

NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide a procedure to retrieve Parameter Identification (PID) codes without the New Generation Star (NGS) tester.

RETRIEVE PARAMETER IDs, (PIDs) as FOLLOWS:
1. Connect Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) Tester (007-00500) or equivalent to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Turn ignition switch to RUN.
3. Select the MODEL YEAR and VEHICLE.
4. Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
5. Select IABM-INTEGRATED AIR BAG MONITOR.
6. Select PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD.
7. Mark all PIDs which are to be retrieved and press START. PIDs are continuously updated on the display.
