Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the folding top to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged fluid reservoir.
- Damaged folding top hydraulic cylinders.
- Damaged folding fop motor upper and lower hose.
- Damaged convertible top regulator.
- Parking brake not engaged.

Electrical
- Open power distribution box circuit breaker CONV TOP (30A), fuse junction panel Fuse 1 (15A).
- circuitry open/shorted.
- Damaged convertible top switch.
- Damaged raise/lower relay.
- Damaged folding top hydraulic lift motor and plate kit.

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the condition(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
