Rear Window

REMOVAL

NOTE: Mark vinyl to be removed so it can be returned to the same position after disassembly.

1. Remove sail area panels.
2. Remove staples retaining elastic straps at each side of back window glass to rear tacking strip and folding top rear number 4 bow and remove elastic straps.
3. Remove staples retaining rear bow corner pad and bottom of folding top back window curtain to rear tacking strips.
4. Remove staples retaining top of folding top back window curtain to folding top rear number 4 bow and remove back window glass.







INSTALLATION
1. Mark with grease pencil the center point on folding top rear number 4 bow in line with hole on rear of folding top rear number 4 bow.

NOTE: Transfer markings from the removed assembly.







2. Align notch at top of back window glass with center point mark on folding top rear number 4 bow. Staple folding top back window curtain to tacking strip along folding top rear number 4 bow.







3. Stretch bottom of folding top back window curtain until centerline of folding top rear number 4 bow is 1206.5 mm (47.5 inches) from front edge of folding top header pad. Make sure leading edge of folding top back window curtain fits tight to notch in tacking strip.







4. Staple bottom of folding top back window curtain starting at the center and working toward the sides one side at a time. Verify that there are no wrinkles in the folding top back window curtain.
5. Install foam along the side of the folding top rear number 4 bow starting at the bottom of the rear bow corner pad.







6. Staple folding top stay pad rear cases starting at the inner edge and working outward. Make sure there are no wrinkles in the folding top stay pad rear case as you are stapling the folding top stay pad rear case.

NOTE: The folding top stay pad rear case generally will not be removed to replace the back window glass. If it is removed, it will be stapled before the back window glass is installed.

7. Staple elastic straps to folding top rear number 4 bow and at lower tacking strip. Verify that bottoms of strap are 20 mm (0.78 inch) from mounting holes.
8. Install roof outside cover.
