Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the transmission control switch transmission range selector lever linkage or brake shift interlock to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:





3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can readily be identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the conditions and go to the Symptom Chart. External Controls
